DESCRIPTION
This light liqueur made from sakura, Japanese cherry blossoms, is pure poetry. It contains real cherry blossoms macerated in alcohol and sugar syrup. Delicate pink in color, it has notes of wild red berries and white flowers, with an elegant and refreshing style.
Ideal as an aperitif or with delicate desserts such as meringue or pannacotta. Great potential as a cocktail ingredient.
The producer, Kitaoka Honten, is located in the town of Yoshino, south of Nara; founded in 1868, it began with fermenting soy sauce and sake until Sojuro, one of the heirs to the estate, saw the potential of distilling and fermenting local fruits and flora. Today, Kitaoka Honten has built a reputation throughout Japan for its extraordinary liqueurs.
Ideal as an aperitif or with delicate desserts such as meringue or pannacotta. Great potential as a cocktail ingredient. Best discovered as is, but also on the rocks or paired with soda.
