DESCRIPTION
Tamano Hikari Yuzushu was born from the encounter between the tradition of a historic Fushimi sakagura brewery, founded in 1673, and the aromatic vivacity of Japanese yuzu. Tamano Hikari is renowned for its rigorous production approach and for its key role in promoting junmai , sake made exclusively from rice, water, and koji.
This yuzushu uses an elegant sake base, made with three premium rice varieties ( Iwai, Bizen Omachi, and Yamada Nishiki) , carefully selected and blanched to achieve a smooth, clean, and umami-rich profile. Fresh yuzu juice is added to this refined base, lending intense citrus aromas and an instantly recognizable freshness.
The result is an enveloping yet refreshing yuzu liqueur, with an intense and luminous nose and sweet, lively citrus notes. On the palate, it stands out for its perfect balance between the fresh juiciness of the fruit and the delicate structure of the sake. The sweetness, never overpowering, complements and enhances the character of the yuzu, providing a harmonious and highly enjoyable sip.
Why we love it
Because it harmoniously combines the delicacy of sake with the vibrant citrus freshness of yuzu. Balanced, refined, and immediately enjoyable, it's perfect for both those who already love Japan and those who are discovering Japanese spirits for the first time.
