DESCRIPTION
The Suntory Yamazaki 12 Years is a Japanese single malt whisky produced at the historic Yamazaki Distillery near Kyoto. Matured for 12 years in different types of oak casks, it offers an elegant, complex and beautifully balanced style, combining floral, fruity and vanilla notes with delicate woody nuances.
TASTING NOTES
On the nose: initially woody, followed by aromas of peach, ripe persimmon and orange marmalade, with hints of butter, custard, caramel, coconut and vanilla.
On the palate: medium-bodied, smooth and rich, with notes of red and dark berries including redcurrant, blackcurrant, raspberry and blueberry. The finish is long and pleasant, with fruity, woody and vanilla nuances.
