The KIKICHOKO is a white cup for tasting sake. When you taste sake while visiting a brewery, you are often served one of these white cups with blue rings on the bottom. Also called "Janome Ochoko" (snake eye cup). The purpose of these rings was originally to help evaluate the clarity of the sake: the white part also allows you to check the color tone of the sake, any streaks. This design later became a hallmark of the sake industry in general.
