DESCRIPTION
The small Japanese distillery Hinotori was founded in 1949 and launched this limited edition whiskey for its 70th anniversary. It is produced on the island of Honshu (the largest island in Japan); is a blend of wheat and malt, aged in American oak (white oak) barrels, then bottled without cooling filtration and without dyes.
Hinotori in Japanese means "phoenix", hence the illustration on the bottle and box of this whiskey.
AROMATIC NOTES
On the nose: fresh malted barley, dried fruit.
To the taste: toasted hazelnuts, vanilla; with a persistent but fresh finish.
Alcoholic proof: 43%
