DESCRIPTION
The small Japanese distillery Hinotori was founded in 1949 and launched this limited edition whisky for its 70th anniversary. It is produced on the island of Honshu (the largest island of Japan); it is a blend of grain and malt, aged in American oak barrels (white oak), then bottled without chill filtration and without colorants.
Hinotori in Japanese means "phoenix", hence the illustration on the bottle and the box of this whisky.
