DESCRIPTION
The Hinotori 5 Years Blended Whisky is a limited edition created to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Hekinan Distillery, founded in 1949. Produced on the island of Honshu, it is a blend of grain whisky and malt whisky matured for five years in new American white oak casks. It is bottled at 43% without chill filtration.
The name Hinotori means “phoenix” in Japanese, a symbol featured on both the label and the packaging, evoking the rebirth of the distillery after a long period of inactivity.
TASTING NOTES
On the nose: fruity notes and dried fruit, accompanied by subtle malty nuances.
On the palate: smooth and rounded, with hints of toasted hazelnut and vanilla. The finish is persistent yet fresh.
