DESCRIPTION
Rum "Teeda" 5 Years is produced in the Helios distillery in Nago City, northern area of Okinawa (Teeda means "sun" in Okinawa). Helios Distillery has always placed great value on preserving the environment, making the most of Okinawa's natural resources and history, to produce authentic and good products.
Tadashi Matsuda founded his rum-making company on Okinawa in 1961, responding to requests from US military personnel who were on the island at the time.
This delicious rum is handcrafted from a single distillation of sugar cane molasses. The sugar cane is grown locally, planted between February and May and harvested both mechanically and manually from October to February. It is then aged in American oak barrels (using both new and used rum barrels) for at least 5 years.
Limited edition of 2000 bottles.
