The Rare Old Super Nikka Whisky is a blended whisky introduced in 1962 by Masataka Taketsuru, founder of Nikka, as a tribute to his late wife Rita. Its distinctive bottle design also reflects its unique and elegant character. It is appreciated for its smooth and complex profile, where malty and herbal notes blend with delicate peaty nuances and hints of sherry.
TASTING NOTES
On the nose: rich aromas of quince, ripe pear and honey, accompanied by delicate notes of peat and sherry.
On the palate: smooth, rounded and well-balanced, with a harmonious interplay between sweetness and subtle smoky nuances. The finish is long and pleasant, with hints of caramel.
