DESCRIPTION
Yuzu is a type of indigenous Japanese citrus, found particularly in the southern islands. The producer uses fruits from Koichi, which is located in central-southern Japan. This choice is due to the fact that the best yuzu grow here. For the production of each bottle, between 15 and 20 yuzu are used, put in maceration.
The peculiarity of this yuzushu is the very strong flavor of the peel, which we find intact in this light liqueur. Infatti qWhen the yuzu is ripe, it is partly dry inside. The aroma comes mostly from the rind. A final addition of fresh juice reduces the alcohol content to 8%.
Aroma of mandarin, grapefruit, lemon, orange ... all mixed together to give a super citrus aroma !!! Usually recommended cold as an aperitif or after a meal, it can also be used to create hot drinks for the winter. It can also be used in cooking (the sauce ponzu it can also be made at home with: soy sauce and yuzu, or dashi e yuzu).
We like it because it is ppleasant, but not sweet! It does not dry out your mouth, but invites you to take another sip! AND' also great for cocktails! Absolutely to try it YUZU GIN TONIC: 30 ml Kodakara Yuzu, 50 ml Gin, 150 ml acqua tonica. Serve in a glass filled with ice.
CURIOSITY'
To do i kajitsu shu (sake ai frutti) you can start from a sake base and add the rind or fruit part or start from a distilled base (in this case it will have a more characterful part).
