Alcoholic content: 11.5%
Serving temperature: 8 ° C
Ingredients: nihonshu, ume (Japanese plums)
DESCRIPTION
Light Japanese plum liqueur, made with a sake base and abundant Japanese plums.
The ume are macerated in the sake, releasing the naturally acid taste, balanced however by an initial sweetness and a slightly almondy aroma.
We like it because it has a beautiful color and an intense aroma, but with a very balanced taste. Excellent as an aperitif or to accompany dessert, as well as fantastic in cocktails or served with ice (absolutely to be tried in a highball with soda, tonic or ginger beer).
FOOD PAIRING
In Japan it is used to drink it at the end of a meal alone or in combination with a dessert.
It can be combined with the Japanese Ichigo Daifuku (sweets made with glutinous rice flour, mochi, filled with sweet bean paste and strawberry) or with our desserts. In this case, ice cream is the perfect match in summer, while cakes or pies in winter. Also excellent combined with a pannacotta or a caramel cheesecake.
For those who want to experiment: try it with a curry with summer vegetables!
CURIOSITY'
It is the traditional plum liqueur of country houses, produced once a year for local families.
