DESCRIPTION
Dassai 23 is one of Japan’s most iconic and prestigious Junmai Daiginjo sakes, created to deliver an experience of exceptional purity, elegance and precision.
It is made exclusively from premium Yamada Nishiki rice, polished down to just 23% of its original size. This exceptionally meticulous process produces a crystal-clear and refined sake, remarkably smooth and distinguished by its outstanding aromatic richness.
On the nose, it reveals elegant floral aromas accompanied by notes of white peach, pear, ripe melon and delicate hints of honey. On the palate, it is silky, enveloping and perfectly harmonious: the natural sweetness of the rice is balanced by refined freshness, while the flavour closes with remarkable purity and a long, bright and persistent finish.
Refined yet immediately appealing, Dassai 23 represents one of the highest expressions of the celebrated Dassai range. A prestigious bottle, ideal for celebrating a special occasion, impressing with an exclusive gift or accompanying a fine dining experience.
Serve chilled, preferably in a wine glass, to enhance its aromatic intensity, silky texture and exceptional elegance.
FOOD PAIRING
Ideal with premium sushi and sashimi, oysters, scallops, shellfish, caviar, fish tartare and carpaccio. Its finesse also pairs elegantly with white fish, delicate white meats, fresh cheeses and refined vegetarian dishes.
Perfect as an exclusive aperitif or paired with a tasting menu. It can also be served with delicate desserts featuring white fruits, citrus or cream, provided they are not overly sweet.
In Japanese cuisine: yellowtail and sea bream nigiri, sashimi, amaebi, scallops, light tempura, fresh tofu and kaiseki dishes.
