DESCRIPTION
It has a particularly fruity aroma and a long, persistent aftertaste. Characterized by the typical sweetness of Tsuyahime rice, it is a product that can be easily paired with many dishes. The producer says: "The characteristics of this rice are also found in the Aratama Tsuyahime Sake, a premium Sake excellent served at all temperatures, fresh or slightly warmed."
We like it because it is very balanced; it is very pleasant to the nose with a wide bouquet of fruits and velvety on the palate, with a clean finish.
FOOD PAIRING
Like the rice from which it is made, it pairs well with many dishes and its delicate aroma is perfect for accompanying meals based on white fish, meat, but also worth trying with sweet and sour or fried dishes.
In Japanese cuisine: sushi, teriyaki, sautéed vegetables.
CURIOSITY'
Sake is usually produced with rice varieties different from those edible, but in this case the producer Wada Shuzo has chosen an edible rice: Tsuyahime from Yamagata Prefecture, characterized by its exceptional “whiteness,” “shine,” and “sweetness.” This type of rice is sweet and is renowned because it tastes good both freshly cooked and cold the next day.
